Fluffy's adventure to find her forever home

We first noticed Fluffy about four years ago.  She was this big ball of fur with legs that loved running up to people for pets and patrolling the various condos in our neighborhood looking for food and treats.  She would follow people and meow at them until they gave her attention.  She loved attention, besides eating it was her favorite thing.  At first, we thought she had a home as she was a good size and did not look neglected.  If fact, some of the neighbors called her “fat cat”.  We did not see her as fat, just fluffy.  She started to come up to us whenever we were outside, and we gladly gave her pets and scratches.  She especially loved to get good scratches under her chin and on the sides of her face.  She would continuously tilt her head or move your arm with her paws in order to get your hand in just the right spot.  We also started to give her food, mostly tuna.  She loved tuna (note: tuna should only be given in moderation).  Fluffy started to come by more frequently and we looked forward to our daily visits with her.  We even started to leave our garage cracked at night so that she had shelter and a comfortable warm bed to sleep in which we bought for her.  Then, one cold December night, I come out of the bedroom to find Sam lying on the living room floor next to Fluffy.  Due to the extreme cold, he did not want to take the chance of leaving her out there to suffer if she did not have a home.  He was not sure what she would do inside, so he spent the night next to her.  She was perfect and slept the whole night next to him.  That night Fluffy found her forever home and we became a family.  We provided Fluffy all the love, security, pets, water, food, and treats that she could ever want, and she gave us the opportunity to be her human parents.

We are writing this as a way to celebrate Fluffy and to memorialize all of our wonderful memories. Even though she was with us for such a short time, we have an endless amount of memories and plan to share those weekly with you on this blog. If you have a story about Fluffy that you would like to share please feel free to add a comment. We would also like to hear about your pets and how they have enriched your lives so please add those to the comments section as well.
